World Pork Expo Is ONE WEEK Away: The Pork Industry Heads to Des Moines
The countdown is officially on. In just one week, pork producers, swine industry professionals, ag businesses, veterinarians, nutritionists, equipment manufacturers, and pork industry leaders from across the country will gather in Des Moines, Iowa, for one of the biggest events in agriculture — the 2026 World Pork Expo.
Hosted by the National Pork Producers Council, World Pork Expo returns to the Iowa State Fairgrounds June 3-4, 2026. The event continues to be recognized as the world’s largest pork-specific trade show and a premier gathering place for the global pork industry.
From cutting-edge swine technology and livestock equipment to educational seminars, networking events, hospitality tents, and pork-focused conversations, World Pork Expo is where the pork industry comes together to reconnect, learn, and prepare for the future of pig farming.
This year’s expo is expected to bring more than 10,000 pork producers and agricultural professionals to Des Moines, along with hundreds of exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in pork production, barn technology, feed systems, genetics, animal health products, manure management solutions, transportation equipment, and precision livestock technology.
It is a reunion of the pork industry. From producers walking the fairgrounds with families and employees to agribusiness teams hosting customers in hospitality tents, the event creates opportunities for relationship building and face-to-face conversations with people from around the world.
Educational seminars and business sessions will also give attendees the chance to hear updates on pork markets, production trends, sustainability, biosecurity, consumer outreach, and emerging challenges facing the swine industry.
The Iowa State Fairgrounds will once again be filled with pork industry energy. The Varied Industries Building will host the large indoor trade show, while outdoor exhibits and hospitality tents line the grounds with demonstrations, food, entertainment, and networking opportunities.
And of course, attendees can expect one thing World Pork Expo is famous for — incredible pork dishes and hospitality across the grounds.
Pork Industry News will be on-site covering the latest pork industry news, highlighting new innovations, and bringing viewers behind the scenes from the heart of Iowa.
If your company, organization, or state pork association has announcements, events, product launches, or news releases to share during World Pork Expo week, Pork Industry News encourages submissions ahead of the event.
