The Iowa hospitality industry is built on hardworking restaurant owners, chefs, operators, servers, managers, and community leaders who help keep local businesses and rural communities thriving across the state. Now, the Iowa Restaurant Association is encouraging Iowans to recognize those individuals through the IRA Hospitality Awards nomination process.
According to the Iowa Restaurant Association, nominations are now open for the organization’s Hospitality Awards program, which highlights individuals making a positive impact in Iowa’s restaurant and hospitality industry. The awards recognize a variety of hospitality professionals, including chefs, restaurant operators, rising stars, and individuals giving back to their communities.
The Iowa Restaurant Association says the awards are designed to celebrate the people helping move Iowa’s food service and hospitality industries forward through leadership, innovation, customer service, mentorship, and community involvement.
Hospitality and food service businesses continue to play an important role in Iowa’s economy and local communities. From small-town cafés and family-owned restaurants to catering companies, truck stop restaurants, pork-focused menus, and rural dining establishments, the industry supports thousands of jobs across the Midwest while also creating opportunities for Iowa agriculture and pork producers.
Industry recognition programs like these help highlight the people working behind the scenes to create positive customer experiences while strengthening Iowa’s tourism, food, and hospitality sectors.
The Iowa Restaurant Association is encouraging individuals to submit nominations and help recognize hospitality leaders making a difference across the state of Iowa.
