Stacey Voight Elected to Ohio Pork Council Board of Directors

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Stacey Voight, a pork industry professional with 29 years of experience in production and technical services, has been elected to the Ohio Pork Council Board of Directors to represent associate members.

The council announced Voight’s election Aug. 27, 2026. She brings experience in swine genetics, production management, animal welfare and youth education to her new role.

Voight serves as product optimization manager at SwineTech, where she works directly with pork producers to turn herd and production data into practical benchmarks and tools that support farm performance, sustainability and animal care.

A Career Working With Pigs and Producers

Voight began her career with hands-on work at boar studs across Ohio and previously managed an 80-sow show-pig herd. She later provided technical services for two swine genetics companies, supporting pork producers around the world.

That background combines direct livestock care with experience helping farmers apply technical information to their operations.

“OPC’s strength comes from leaders who understand both the challenges and opportunities facing Ohio pig farmers,” said Cheryl Day, executive vice president of the Ohio Pork Council.

Animal Care, Leadership and Youth Education

Voight is a certified animal-welfare auditor and a trainer for Pork Quality Assurance Plus (PQA Plus) and Transport Quality Assurance (TQA).

She is participating in the 2026 Pork Leadership Institute and serves on the National Pork Producers Council Labor and Security Committee.

Her involvement in agriculture also extends to the next generation. Voight served as a 4-H advisor for 10 years and continues visiting Ohio schools to help FFA members learn about swine breeding and animal husbandry.

As associate member director, Voight brings those experiences to the council’s work serving Ohio pig farmers and the broader pork industry.
