National Swine Registry Exposition Breeding Gilt Show and Sale Set for Friday
DES MOINES, Iowa — Swine breeders from across the country will gather on Friday, June 12, for the National Swine Registry Exposition Open Breeding Gilt Show, one of the premier events showcasing elite purebred swine genetics.
The competition will begin at 8 a.m. in the Sheep Barn, where exhibitors will present top breeding gilts before industry judges. The show provides an opportunity for producers to highlight genetic advancements, evaluate breeding stock, and connect with fellow pork producers and seedstock operations.
Following the conclusion of the Open Breeding Gilt Show, the Open Breeding Stock Sale will take place approximately two hours after the final gilt leaves the ring. The sale offers buyers the opportunity to purchase high-quality breeding animals from leading swine operations representing multiple breeds and bloodlines.
For those unable to attend in person, online bidding will be available through CCI.live, allowing producers to participate in the sale remotely. The event will also be available via live stream through Walton Webcasting.
The annual National Swine Registry Exposition continues to serve as a showcase of the genetics, innovation, and dedication that drive the U.S. swine industry forward, bringing together breeders, exhibitors, and pork industry professionals from across the nation.
