NEW ALBANY, Ohio — The Ohio Pork Council has announced the addition of Blake Campbell as the organization’s new producer education director, strengthening its commitment to supporting pork producers, agricultural education, and consumer outreach across the state.

Blake Campbell named producer education director for Ohio Pork
Campbell, of Waterford, Ohio, brings a strong agricultural background and deep ties to the pork industry. He comes from a fourth-generation, family-owned Berkshire hog farm and has experience in agricultural education, consumer engagement, and direct-to-consumer pork marketing. Prior to joining the Ohio Pork Council, Campbell served as a high school teacher while also helping manage his family farm’s retail market and pork business efforts.

In addition to his work in agriculture, Campbell is active in his local community as an EMT and firefighter, demonstrating a commitment to service both on and off the farm.
“The future of Ohio’s pork industry demands a team that is skilled, passionate, and relentless in its pursuit of excellence — and that is exactly what these professionals bring to this organization,” said Cheryl Day, executive vice president of the Ohio Pork Council. “Blake enhances our ability to educate, advocate, and deliver results for every Ohio pork producer.”
Campbell says he is eager to help strengthen producer education and increase public understanding of modern pig farming and pork production.
“There is nothing more powerful than knowledge — and helping Ohio’s pork producers and the public better understand this industry is a mission I take personally,” Campbell said. “I am passionate about advocating for every producer across this state, and I couldn’t be more energized to step into this role and get to work.”
The Ohio Pork Council serves approximately 2,500 members and works to support Ohio pork producers through education, promotion, advocacy, and industry leadership.
