LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky agriculture, local food and community service will come together this summer as the Third Annual Commissioner’s Farm to Fork Benefit Dinner returns to the Kentucky State Fair on August 19.

Hosted by Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell, the annual event will take place at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center’s Harold Workman Lobby and will feature Kentucky Proud food while raising funds for Kentucky CASA, the Court Appointed Special Advocates program that supports children across the Commonwealth.

The Farm to Fork Benefit Dinner has become a celebration of Kentucky agriculture, bringing together farmers, livestock producers, agricultural leaders and consumers for an evening focused on local food and community impact.

The dinner will showcase Kentucky Proud food products while highlighting the important role farmers and agricultural producers play in feeding families and supporting rural communities.

According to Shell, the event is about bringing together community to support children

“Enjoy an evening featuring Kentucky Proud food while supporting CASA and creating opportunities for Kentucky’s youth. We look forward to celebrating Kentucky agriculture and making a difference together,” Shell said.

Proceeds from the event will support Kentucky CASA, an organization that advocates for children involved in the court system and works to create positive opportunities for youth across the state.

The event is supported by several Kentucky agricultural and community organizations, including Kentucky Proud, Kentucky Farm Bureau, Kentucky Venues, the Kentucky Exposition Foundation and Farm Credit Mid-America.

The Commissioner’s Farm to Fork Benefit Dinner is expected to attract farmers, pork producers, livestock exhibitors, agricultural advocates and consumers from across Kentucky. Organizers encourage those interested in attending to purchase tickets in advance.

The event will be held August 19 at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center in Louisville.
