K-State Swine Day Set | Pork Industry News

Date:

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Pork producers, swine industry professionals, researchers and students will gather in Manhattan, Kansas, on Thursday, Nov. 19, for the 2026 K-State Swine Day, featuring the latest research from Kansas State University’s Applied Swine Nutrition Team, a technology trade show and discussion on bringing new technology from research to the farm.

The annual event will be held at the K-State Alumni Center. The Technology Trade Show opens at 8 a.m., followed by the official welcome and a full day of educational programming.

K-State Swine Research Takes Center Stage

K-State swine faculty will present an Applied Swine Nutrition Research Update, highlighting current research in swine nutrition, management, feed processing and feed safety.

The morning research session will be followed by lunch and time for attendees to visit with exhibitors at the Technology Trade Show. Additional research updates and educational programming will continue during the afternoon.

K-State’s swine program works to connect practical research with pork producers and the broader swine industry, helping move new information, technology and management practices from research settings into commercial pork production.

Dr. Annie Lerner to Discuss On-Farm Technology

The afternoon will feature guest speaker Dr. Annie Lerner, Director of Nutrition and Research at Schwartz Farm Inc.

Lerner will present “Evaluating Technology: From Concept to On-Farm Implementation,” focusing on the process of evaluating emerging technology and determining how new ideas can be practically implemented within pork production systems.

The educational program will conclude with a question-and-answer session, followed by a reception. The Technology Trade Show will be open throughout much of the day, giving producers and industry professionals an opportunity to connect with companies serving the swine industry.

Registration Open for 2026 K-State Swine Day

Registration is $30 per person through Nov. 10. After the deadline or at the door, registration increases to $50 per person. Student registration is also available.
