The Minnesota Pork Board is reminding undergraduate students that scholarship applications for 2026 are due. Applications must be submitted by Friday, May 15, 2026.
The scholarship program is designed to support Minnesota students pursuing careers connected to agriculture, communications, and the pork industry. Undergraduate students completing freshman through senior years at a two- or four-year college or university are encouraged to apply.
To qualify, applicants must be residents of Minnesota. Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible for consideration.
The Minnesota Pork Board is offering two scholarship categories this year, with up to three recipients selected in each category.
The Voice of Pork Scholarship is aimed at students studying communications, marketing, public relations, education, advocacy, and related fields. The Growing Ag Scholarship is focused on students pursuing degrees in animal science, veterinary medicine, agriculture business, and related agricultural careers.
Each recipient will receive $1,500 in scholarship funding. Students may also have the opportunity to earn an additional $500 by participating in Minnesota Pork events and leadership opportunities throughout the year.
The scholarship program helps encourage future leaders in agriculture while supporting students interested in advancing the pork industry and rural communities.
