Indiana pig farmers continue to support their local communities through donations and outreach efforts across the state. Recently, Drew Ponder of Bowman Family Holdings donated 80 pounds of pork to Indiana State Police officer John Davis to help provide meals for an upcoming recruiting event.
The pork donation was sourced through Merkley & Sons Packing in Jasper. Community support and giving back remain an important part of the pork industry as producers continue helping local organizations, schools, first responders, and community events throughout rural America.
