What if the next powerful voice in the pork industry is already speaking up—and it’s a young producer from Idaho?

The Idaho Pork Producers Association is calling on youth across the state to step into the spotlight with its 2026 Idaho Pork Speech Contest, an exciting opportunity designed to spark interest in pig farming, pork production, and the future of the U.S. swine industry.

Open to ages 5–18, this unique agriculture education event challenges participants to create and share original speeches that highlight the importance of pork producers, animal care, and the role of modern hog farming in feeding a growing population. With entries submitted via YouTube and cash prizes awarded across multiple age divisions, this contest not only builds confidence and communication skills—it helps amplify the next generation of leaders in agriculture and the pork industry.
