CLIVE, Iowa — College students interested in gaining hands-on experience in the pork industry have an opportunity to apply for a 2027 internship with the Iowa Pork Producers Association.
The Iowa Pork Checkoff Internship is a summer 2027 opportunity designed to provide experience in areas including pork industry education, research and promotion.
Through the internship, students can gain professional experience while building connections within Iowa agriculture and the pork industry. The opportunity also provides financial support as students develop skills that could help prepare them for future careers in agriculture.
According to the Iowa Pork Producers Association, preference is given to Iowa residents and full-time college students in good scholastic standing. Applicants should also have an interest in agriculture, ideally with a passion for the pork industry.
The internship is one of several opportunities offered by the Iowa Pork Producers Association to introduce college students to careers serving pork producers and the broader swine industry.
Applications for the Iowa Pork Checkoff Internship are due October 16, 2026.
