OHIO — The Ohio Pork Council is seeking nominations to recognize individuals, families and businesses making an impact on Ohio’s pork industry.
Nominations are open for four awards highlighting service, leadership, pork promotion and contributions to the swine industry.
The Pork Industry Excellence Award recognizes a pig farmer or farm family for outstanding contributions to the pork industry. The OPC Service Award honors a volunteer who has gone above and beyond in service to the industry.
The Pork Promoter of the Year Award recognizes exceptional pork promotion by an individual, family, business or group. Pig farming experience is not required to be considered for the award.
The Swine Manager of the Year Award recognizes outstanding leadership and management by an owner or employee of a swine operation.
Nominations are due October 31, 2026. Award recipients will be recognized during the Ohio Pork Congress in February 2027.
The Ohio Pork Council is encouraging members of the pork industry and broader agricultural community to nominate individuals who deserve recognition for their leadership, service and commitment to pork production and promotion.
