NEW ALBANY, Ohio — The Ohio Pork Council has announced Kylie Corbitt of Springfield, Ohio, as its 2026 OH-PIGS summer intern, where she will help support youth outreach, pork industry education, and engagement with Ohio pork producers and pig farming families.

Kylie Corbitt joins the Ohio Pork Council this summer as the 2026 OH-PIGS intern, bringing years of hands-on experience in the swine industry and a passion for supporting youth in agriculture. A student at The Ohio State University, Kylie looks forward to connecting with pork producers, livestock families, and young exhibitors across Ohio while continuing to grow her knowledge of the pork industry.

Corbitt is currently attending The Ohio State University as a freshman majoring in agribusiness and applied economics with minors in agricultural communication and animal science.

Her passion for the pork industry began at a young age through showing pigs and participating in livestock exhibitions. Over the years, she has built hands-on experience in swine production while working with Kimley Show Pigs, assisting with daily animal care, feed sales, and customer engagement within the show pig and commercial pork sectors.

Those experiences helped Corbitt develop strong communication skills and a deeper understanding of the relationships that help strengthen the pork industry and agricultural communities.

“I’m excited to build additional relationships with pork producers from across Ohio as I help support young people who share the same passion for agriculture that has shaped my life,” Corbitt said. “This role will help me to connect with youth exhibitors and their families across the state, allowing me to gain valuable industry experience.”

As part of the internship, Corbitt will work alongside Ohio Pork Council staff on youth-focused initiatives, agricultural events, and programs that encourage the next generation of pork producers and agricultural leaders.

Cheryl Day, executive vice president of the Ohio Pork Council, said the organization values investing in students who are passionate about pig farming, livestock care, and the future of Ohio agriculture.

The Ohio Pork Council was established in 1968 and currently represents approximately 2,500 members dedicated to serving and supporting pork producers throughout the state through education, promotion, and leadership opportunities within the swine industry.
