Swine Ventilation Workshop Set for May 27 in Wisconsin, Focused on Improving Pig Health and Barn Performance

Swine producers, barn managers, and industry professionals will have the opportunity to sharpen their ventilation management skills at an upcoming Swine Ventilation Workshop scheduled for May 27, 2026, at the West Madison Agricultural Research Station in Verona, Wisconsin. Running from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the hands-on workshop is designed to help pork producers better understand how proper ventilation directly impacts pig health, performance, and overall barn efficiency.

With summer heat and seasonal weather challenges on the horizon, ventilation remains one of the most critical components of successful pork production. This workshop will provide practical, insights into airflow management, fan performance, and environmental control inside swine facilities. Attendees can expect to gain valuable knowledge on how to optimize barn conditions for their pigs.

The event is hosted at a leading research facility, giving participants access to expert-led discussions and demonstrations in a controlled, educational setting. Whether managing a finishing barn or overseeing large-scale pork production systems, the workshop aims to equip attendees with actionable strategies they can immediately apply on their farms.

Pre-registration is required by May 22, and those interested can contact Jeff Morris for additional details regarding attendance and logistics.

This educational event is made possible thanks to the support and collaboration of key industry partners.
