Lynch Family Companies to Honor Veterans with Free BBQ Supper and $10,000 Giveaway in Iowa
DECORAH, Iowa – Lynch Family Companies and the Lynch Family Foundation are preparing to honor local veterans and military families with their annual Veterans Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, in Decorah, Iowa. The event will feature a free barbecue supper, an evening of appreciation and a $10,000 charitable giveaway supporting military nonprofit organizations.
The celebration will take place from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Community Building at the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds, located at 900 East Main Street in Decorah. All area veterans, active-duty military personnel, National Guard members, reservists and their families are invited to attend.
Guests will be treated to a complimentary supper featuring Lynch BBQ and beverages as Lynch Family Companies continues its tradition of recognizing the men and women who have served and continue to serve the country.
One of the highlights of the evening will extend the spirit of giving beyond the celebration.
The event will feature a $10,000 charitable donation drawing at 6:15 p.m., with 10 individuals selected to direct $1,000 each to a military-based nonprofit organization of their choice. Participants must attend the event to register but do not need to be present when the winners are announced. An additional drawing will be held for an American flag to be flown over the U.S. Capitol in honor of the winning veteran.
Through the annual celebration, Lynch Family Companies and the Lynch Family Foundation are bringing together military families and the surrounding community for an evening centered on gratitude, service and giving back.
