CUMMING, Iowa — There’s something special about fall in Iowa, and what better way to enjoy the season than an evening in the countryside with delicious pork, perfectly paired wines, and live music? The Iowa Pork Producers Association invites guests to sit back, relax, and take in the beauty of Iowa’s fall landscape during Pork + Pinot on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Middlebrook Farm in Cumming, Iowa.
Presented by the Iowa Pork Producers Association and hosted by Winefest Des Moines, Pork + Pinot brings together local chefs, creative pork dishes, and a selection of Pinot wines for a relaxing evening celebrating Iowa agriculture and the flavors of fall.
Guests can enjoy the peaceful countryside setting while sampling pork creations prepared by some of the area’s talented chefs. This year’s culinary lineup includes Prime & Providence, Palms DSM, Littleleaf Luncheonette, Sarinade, and two chefs from Tangerine. Each will put their own creative spin on pork dishes paired with Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Grigio.
A little friendly competition adds to the evening’s festivities. Guests will have the opportunity to sample each chef’s creation and vote for their favorite, helping crown the Pork + Pinot People’s Choice winner. Live music and the autumn atmosphere at Middlebrook Farm will provide the backdrop for an evening spent enjoying good food and time with friends.
Taking place during National Pork Month, also known as Porktober, the event is another opportunity to celebrate the versatility of pork and the Iowa farmers who raise it. From elegant appetizers to creative culinary combinations, Pork + Pinot highlights how pork can complement a variety of flavors and dining experiences.
